Guards Club meets
every first Wednesday in the month, normally at the Garrison Sergeants
Mess in Colchester Garrison, but may vary during times of
higher alert states. Check with the club secretary before attending.
It provides an opportunity for ex Guardsmen and their Partners
to get together and enjoy an evening of reminiscences and good
comradeship.
There are also organised trips to such places as Newmarket
Races, and recently The Tower of London for the Ceremony of
the Keys.
We try to visit European Battlefields for Wreath laying on
behalf of The Household Division once a year.
Two recent trips were to Arnham
and Ypres.
