'' Glastonbury rocks! ''

-|[My Glastonbury Review: ]|-If you haven't been to Glastonbury, you've missed out on such an experience... and Glastonbury 2003, my second Glastonbury was no different. It was an incredible weekend and I can't really put into words how much I enjoyed it... and there's nowhere I'd rather have spent the last days of my childhood (I turned 18 the Monday after the festival) than at Glastonbury festival with my dad.
-|[Friday : ]|- I arrived Friday afternoon and after pitching the tent, I went to see Mew, Mogwai, The Music (who I thought were Zwan), Suede, David Gray and REM. REM were naturally the show of the night, although they were better 4 years ago when they played a more conventional line-up. David Gray was excellent and well worth seeing and I enjoyed Suede and The Music too. Mew are a top band to look out for in the future, danish and a recommendation from my dad (he knows his stuff). Mogwai were rubbish and boring - the worst act of the day by a long shot!
-|[Saturday : ]|- Spent alot of the day shopping and examining the rest of the stuff at festival. Saw some great comedy acts and some weird things too that you only see at Glastonbury! Stopped off to see Jools Holland, who is such a great performer and really realxing in the hot summer weather. Impressive performances by the Polyphonic Spree and Turin Barkes. Died of boredom watching David Oglivy in the acoustic tent. But The Coral were fantastic and then came the highlighht of the weekend. R A D I O H E A D! I was a bit worried that they were gonna just play new tracks and be weird but it was such a great performance. they did play new tracks but I liked them all... and when they played their classics, it was something special. Radiohead officially kicked ass!
-|[Sunday : ]|- Always accused of being the weakest part of the weekend but I thought it was great. After more shopping and sampling the full extent of the festival... we went and saw some really top acts! The 3 that spring to mind are Grandaddy, Feeder and Moby! Grandaddy are very REM-like and put on a really good show and I liked their music alot. Feeder were sensational and I think they shocked my dad because he's not heard of them. I had and I sang along with most of the show. And Moby ended the weekend in style by playing all their hits and really getting the crowd going with their upbeat dance music, which was performed live! Plus, they had an excellent strobe and laser display during the show.
-|[Overall : ]|- It was an amazing weekend and I will be after tickets, as soon as they come out... There's no chance that I'm gonna' miss next year's festival... if I'm honest, I'd tell you all to go because it is such an awesome event but... i won't! Because I've gotta make sure that I GET A TICKET NEXT YEAR! Prince will be at next year's festival... but I hope they'll have some even bigger acts for me.
1 last thing, GLASTONBURY RULED!
